The Holidays Are Here!
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Because it’s all centered around food! This year we postponed Thanksgiving until Saturday so Larry and his wife Chi-Yoon could join us. I absolutely love cooking all day with friends and family, sipping wine, and having good times. This year Chi-Yoon introduced us to my new favorite side dish, chipotle yams. So good!
Today we went and picked out a Christmas tree. A few years ago we fell in love with the idea of going to one of those places you can chop down your own tree. It sounded so rustic–going out to the country, sipping hot chocolate and chopping down your tree. In reality, it was three times the price of an already chopped tree, the hot chocolate was luke warm and came in a styrofoam cup, and you left feeling gypped and disappointed. So now our tradition is to walk up the street to a Christmas tree lot and carry a tree home. Much better.
